12 Mar 2020 administrator Admin 0 General

IELTS exam is not about your knowledge of the English language but rather the proof of your test-taking skills. Hence, a strategic approach to all the four sections that will help you prepare. Having such a short time is no reason to panic. Instead, you need to concentrate on the basics of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

A lot depends on your skills in the English language. But for example, you have average overall skills in the English language in all the four departments, and then you can prepare for your IELTS exam in 14 days with a planned approach and extensive preparation for around 4 to 7 hours every day, depending on the development of your skills. eBritish IELTS course of two weeks will help you do just that.

Let’s approach this section by section:-

1. Listening

First - Listen carefully to the uploaded conversations on our website and then answer the questions that follow the prerecorded conversations.

Second - You will hear a monologue set in an everyday social context. It could be about a discussion on a common civic problem, traffic issue or rising inflation, etc.

Third - Next, you will hear a conversation between up to four people in an educational or training context, i.e., students and their teacher discussing an assignment, etc.

Fourth - A monologue on an academic subject. For example, it could be a university lecture or a seminar, or any such formal event.

This module contains recordings for practice, and the score will be revealed after the end of the test immediately.

2.Reading

In the reading section on eBritish IELTS, you will see the standard 40 questions out of four passages, which are designed to test your reading skills. There are two parts - Academic and General.

These skills are reading for gist of the passage, main ideas, seeking details, skimming, understanding the logical argument, analyzing the writer’s opinion, attitudes, and purpose.

The reading module has tests for academic and general. You will be able to learn time management and know the score immediately after the test.

3.Writing

The writing section also has two tasks in two categories - Academic and General.

First task - You will be given a situation, and then the task will be about explaining the situation or to request information on the situation. You have the option to write the letter in a personal, semi-formal or formal style.

Second task - You need to write an essay in response to a problem or a point of view. It can be quite personal in style.

Second - You will be presented with a card to talk about a particular topic. There will be a minute to prepare and then speak for up to two minutes.
